"24 On The Floor" @ The Lawn, Lincoln, LN1 3BL map>>>
| WOW!! what a day!!! The aim of the day was to raise loads of money by keeping 24 dancers on the dance floor from 8am on Friday morning to 8am on Saturday morning. We are providing a number of Workshops (highlighted in the pale yellow boxes below) and "Freestyle" dances for all ages and abilities. People came from near and far. Westgate, Mount Street, Chad Varah & Queens Park Schools ware just around the corner; whilst dancers came from as far afield as Wakefield, Nottingham and even London! With your help we raised a whopping £3,782.21!!! A HUGE Thankyou!!! to everyone who came along and supported the event. From people who took the day off work for the whole 24 hours, to those that managed to pop in for an hour or so.. Experienced dancers and total beginners came to have a go at a huge range of different dances. I'm very humbled at the amount of time effort and donantions from you all :-) I'm also very proud to have a brilliant team and some fabulous friends and associates :-) '24 on the Floor' would not have been the success it was without the help and generosity of the people below - A huge Thank You! to the following: BBC Lincolnshire presenters and management and especially Andy Roche of the Events team Gill Gothorpe and all her team @ Mouchel Business Services (The Lawn in Lincoln) Andy Fisher of Andy's Dance Time Richard Keeling (Tea Dance keyboard player extroadinaire) Liam Robinson from The Mini Morris Company Julie, Haley & Tina of Streetbeat Movement Acadamy Carol & Paul from Lincolnshire Tango Club Sally Smith of Body & Sole Our fabulous DJ's: Horace Evans; David (DJ Heretic) Gibbons; Nigel (Sandman) Sandaver; Peter (DR Chill) Stanton with a special appearance from her busy schedule; Gillian Merron MP from our Jivefusion team.. And our all our loyal, dediciated, hard working Jivefusion crew and members who ensured a very smooth and thoroughly enjoyable day for everyone who took part :-) And
